About Us

Hello,

I’m Lusi ✨ — a mixed-media artist and the founder of Lusi Harmony. I graduated from the Fiber program at MICA in 2021.

During my time in school, I fell deeply in love with materials — threads, fabrics, metal, plant-based dyes, and the endless textures they hold. To me, every material feels like a living language, something I listen to, respond to, and gently reimagine. Over time, creating wearable art grew from a simple curiosity into an ongoing, evolving creative journey.

In recent years, I’ve been learning traditional Chinese craftsmanship through a contemporary lens. I studied embroidery with an official inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, and while I carry those techniques with care, my work is always about reinterpreting them — shaping something that belongs not only to the past, but also to the present and the future.

You may find quiet traces of Su Xiu embroidery, Song brocade, and indigo dye traditions woven into my pieces. These elements are softened and reworked into designs that feel light, minimal, and wearable in everyday life — something rooted, yet not confined.

I’ve always believed that heritage is not something fixed in history — it continues to grow and transform. In a fast, mass-produced world, my practice is a way of slowing down, of translating traditional wisdom into forms that feel current, personal, and alive.

Each piece is made slowly, by hand, and carries its own subtle differences. When you wear my work, I hope it feels like something quietly meaningful — a small connection between past and future, craft and everyday life.

Thank you for being here and for becoming part of this journey. 💛
